Founded in Medellín in 2014 by Ilse Geyskens, Café Velvet is a Belgian-Colombian specialty roaster that began roasting in 2015 from their dedicated roasting plant in Itagüí. Focusing exclusively on single-origin Colombian coffees, they experiment with various wash and drying techniques and roasting profiles to highlight the depth and diversity of local terroir.
